Almost done ... sigh by CallieFink Almost done ... sigh by CallieFink
Yes... it's a pencil drawing. But I'm not done with it yet. Maybe a few more hours' work on the scarf and face, and I'll be set to go. The resolution on this one came out pretty good, so feel free to download to see all of the details.

I have not kept track of the number of hours I've spent on it... no doubt over 60, at least.

I had to scan it in 9 parts, because the paper was so big. -_-

I'll keep you folks updated on the progress of this... the next time I post this one, [hopefully] it'll be finished.

Oh my goodness. The detail on the face is absolutely moving. Every freckle is rendered with such care that it almost invites touch. Fantastic, well done.

All i can say is jsut... DRAW! and also, observe your surroundings, and the outside world.. if you view everything from an artistic standpoint, you will see the world completely different than it appears right now... everything lines up and you can see how everything is proportioned..... :D

If I've been drawing a lot I tend to see the tonal relationships in everything.
Yes, and every line relates somehow to every other line.

Yes... in space everything lines up.. it's all about getting your reference points to correlate with one another and you pretty much have an imaginary grid right in front of your eyes.
