all on a canvas...

This is an allegory to the human mind's perception of what is real, and concept of infinity. At the time I was painting this I really felt nothing and within 45 minutes I had finished this painting completely. Even now when I look into her eyes it still defies my explanation as to what it truly represents, though. It's up to you as the viewer to find out...

I used a general reference of a girl's face, changed it up, and added other things to it.

Experimenting with a new technique in the application of acrylic paint.

`johnpaulthornton is my painting inspiration. He is truly amazing.

5/26/2010 - Oh yes, and I've uploaded the un-cropped version. I think I liked this version better, but who knows, I may change it back to the older one again.

i adore it! She's very blank faced & her colours represent her emotions & her whirlwind mind well that's what I think!

Cool concept, and great technique! I love that you can see all the brush strokes, in kind of an impressionistic way. :)

The light jumps out of the painting! I love your bold and vivid use of yellow, ruthless use of pink, and your ability to use so many colours in the eye yet still preserve consistency. Beautiful, and I've featured it in a colour special here! [link]
