step1=>
[link] The basic sketch of it. I used some grids to get the proportions correct.
step2=>
[link] I start coloring the skin on a new layer under the sketch. i use 100% opacity with a regular pen pressure default brush and color in the background
step3=>
[link] I added more browns and pinks and reds to get more color to the skin. I also shaded in the eye and eyebrow on a new layer. This has taken about 5 days of work so far to this point.
step4=>
[link] I add the basic colors of the hair on a new layer, and on that same hair layer i add the dark and light shadows to the hair with an airbrushing pen.
step5=>
[link] here i have the sketch over it and i have colored in parts of the arms and put the basic shadows in i will use the smudge tool later to blend them.
step6=>
[link] i add much more details to the hair and make the separate strands visible. i do that on a new layer. i also shade in the neck area more.
step7=>
[link] Oh gawd .... well i put the basic colors of the dress in and fixed up her necklaces. i also added the tiara and the shiny glow from it on another layer on top of the hair. i added the bow and detailed it. i used the smudge tool ALOT on the dress to get it smooth looking. for the final result i added the rest of the shadows, touchups to the girl's hair and face and other parts of her body and made a simple faded background. ^^
I think this is one of my best artworks yet... I actually had alot of fun drawing this!!!
arghhhh... the dress was so tedious to color!!! but im glad i got it done i feel so accomplished!
Done on Photoshop
I used about, 28 layers on this piece, and 3 brushes.
